About the Offshore Open

The Manasquan Inlet's Premier Offshore Tournament

The Manasquan River Marlin & Tuna Club has run the Offshore Open since 1980, growing it into the Manasquan Inlet's premier offshore tournament with a fleet approaching 80 boats. Crews launch through the inlet and run to the canyon edges chasing white marlin releases, heavyweight tuna, mahi, and wahoo. Last year's tournament paid out more than $223,000 to winners and raised funds for fishing and conservation charities.

Anglers fish two separate days or one overnight trip during tournament week, with nightly weigh-ins at Brielle Yacht Club and the captain's meeting the evening before at Safe Harbor Crystal Point Marina. Scoring runs through Reel Time Apps, so the leaderboard and activity feed update live — see the rules page for the full scoring breakdown and payouts.
